Terms of use

These terms apply to sietch.ru (the "Site") and all of its pages. By using the Site, signing in with Steam or uploading material you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Site is

1.1. The Site is a non-commercial fan project about Dune: Awakening, made by players for players. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or supported by Funcom, Legendary or other rights holders.

1.2. Dune: Awakening and its names, images and trademarks belong to their owners. The Site uses them only to describe the game and help players.

1.3. The Site is run by its administration (the "Administration"), reachable through the Contacts page or the support chat in your account.

2. The Site "as is"

2.1. The Site and all of its material (maps, item databases, calculators, guides, drop chances, ranks and the rest) are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. Data comes from open sources and may be incomplete, outdated or wrong, especially after game updates.

2.2. The Administration does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the safety of uploaded material or that the Site meets your expectations. The Site may change, go down or close at any time without notice.

2.3. You use the Site's material at your own risk. The Administration is not responsible for any consequences, including the loss of in-game items, vehicles, resources, progress or time.

3. Account

3.1. You sign in with Steam. The Site never receives or stores your Steam password: sign-in happens on Steam's side and the Site only receives your public identifier.

3.2. You are responsible for everything done under your account. You may use the Site only if you are allowed to use Steam under the laws of your country and Steam's rules.

3.3. You can delete your account and data at any time in your settings.

3.4. The Administration may restrict or block any user's access to the Site or its features, including without giving a reason.

4. User content

4.1. Users can upload screenshots, videos, video links, titles, descriptions, tags, comments, support messages and other material ("Content").

4.2. The user who uploaded Content is fully responsible for it. By uploading, you confirm that you hold all the necessary rights and that the Content does not break the law, other people's rights or these terms.

4.3. By uploading Content you grant the Site a free, non-exclusive, worldwide right to store, reproduce and display it on the Site, to process it (compress, resize, convert, crop, make previews and covers, add the Site's mark) and to show it when presenting the Site on social networks and elsewhere. The right lasts while the Content is on the Site and for a reasonable time after removal, while backups and caches clear.

4.4. The Administration may, but is not obliged to, review Content. It may refuse, hide, re-format or remove any Content and delete accounts without giving a reason.

4.5. Publishing Content does not mean the Administration agrees with or has verified it. Moderation is done by very few people and mistakes happen: the Administration is not responsible for user Content, including Content let through by mistake. If you see unacceptable Content, report it with the report button or through Contacts and we will look at it.

5. What is not allowed

• illegal material, including extremist, pornographic, or material promoting violence, drugs or cruelty;
• insults, harassment, threats, discrimination, hate speech;
• other people's personal data, photos of real people without their consent;
• material that infringes copyright or other rights (other people's videos and screenshots without permission);
• advertising, spam, promotional links to third-party services and communities;
• selling or buying accounts, in-game items or services for real money;
• cheats, exploits, bots, hacks and instructions for them, and any material breaking the game's rules;
• malicious files and links, attempts to hack the Site or disrupt it;
• automated collection of the Site's data (parsing, scraping) without the Administration's written permission;
• impersonating another person, the Administration or the game's developers.

6. Copyright

6.1. The Site's design, texts, guides, tools and data compilation are made by the Administration. Copying them in full or in substantial part without permission is not allowed. Quoting with an active link to the Site is fine.

6.2. If you believe Content on the Site infringes your rights, write through Contacts with a link to the Content and what is infringed. We will review it and remove the Content if the claim is confirmed.

7. Limitation of liability

7.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Administration is not liable for any direct or indirect damage, lost profit, data loss or other losses related to the Site, its unavailability, errors in data, or the actions of other users or third parties.

7.2. The Site may contain links to third-party sites and embedded players (YouTube, VK Video, RuTube and others). The Administration is not responsible for their content or operation; their own rules apply.

8. Changes

8.1. The Administration may change these terms. A new edition applies from its publication on this page; the edition date is shown at the top.

8.2. If you keep using the Site after changes, you accept the new edition.

8.3. If any provision turns out to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
