Buried treasures in the Deep Desert: tier 6 components without testing stations
How to find buried treasures with the scanner, what they hold in every zone tier, why the Deep Desert pays less solari but gives tier 6 components, and what the Treasure Hunter skill adds. With video.

Contents
Buried treasures are the second road to tier 6 components besides testing stations. The scanner finds them, you can dig them up alone, and in the Deep Desert they lie in the PvE zone too. Below: what they look like, what drops and how the Exploration specialization fits in.
What it looks like
How to find them
- 1ScannerUse the scanner on open sand — a treasure gets marked on the terrain.
- 2Dig it upWalk up to the mark and dig the treasure out. No help needed, it’s all doable solo.
- 3Take the lootA window with the treasure’s contents opens — take what you need or everything at once.
In the Deep Desert, treasures lie in both the PvP and the PvE zone, and their contents are identical. So you can fly out for components without risking your vehicle.

Tier 6 components per treasure
Each stack holds 2–9 pieces of a random component out of 18 kinds: armor plating, weapon and blade parts, Holtzman actuators and more.
The Treasure Hunter skill
Where to get it
The Exploration specialization. In-game description: “Increases the amount of loot gained from crashed ships and buried treasures.”
What it adds
A chance of extra loot on top: 19 components on average instead of 12, 14 opafir instead of 10.
Only with it
17 unique gear schematics appear in Deep Desert treasures only with this skill.
The skill also works on small shipwrecks, so together with treasures it pays off fast.
