Step by step
- Travel to the Blushing Cavern. Pick the island on the Overland Map: on the sand to the south-west.
- Find the main deserter camp. The sits high up on the heights in the north-east of the island, about 50–60 m up. Deserters are there.
- Search the Mentat's last known location. The camp has a : "I dunno why this mentat was snooping around, but I don't like it. I dragged his corpse out to the edge of the bled. Let the hawks and the storms take care of it."
- Locate and search the Mentat's corpse. The edge of the bled is the , well away from the main island. The body is buried: dig it up with a Static Compactor. The container holds a mysterious note: "I've hidden the jewels in the place we agreed on, Aisha. In the cavern, in the container. Harvest the crystals and behind them, you'll find the hollow place."
- Retrieve the Opafire jewels. Go down into the cave under the island, through the or the . The is behind the crystals in the south-west part of the cave: cut the crystals with a cutteray (Iron tier or better) and take the container with the Pristine Opafire gem.
- Exit the cave and return to the ornithopter. Leaving counts through both the main entrance and the shaft. Then head to the .
Before you go
- Bring a Static Compactor. Without it the Mentat's body can't be dug up and the contract stalls at step four.
- And an Iron-tier or better cutteray. The Opafire hollow is blocked by Erythrite crystals; a weaker one won't cut them.
- The cave is deep. The hollow is more than 50 m below the surface. The right side of the map is its plan: you can see where the shaft and the main entrance come in.
- Exploration Houses give this contract: Taligari, Wallach, Varota, Argosaz and Hurata.
